Transition Minehead and Alcombe is a
group that was set up in 2009 with the aim of Minehead and
Alcombe becoming a Transition town. Below is some information about the
transition town movement.
What is a transition town?
A transition town is one which is taking positive steps to becoming
less dependent on outside resources such as food and fuel, and trying to
meet more of its needs locally, creating a more certain future
for its children and a confident, thriving local economy and
community.

Events
TMA organizes many local events, including seed-swapping fairs and
showing of films. More details appear on the TMA website and on the News and Events page of this website.
